![]() After a little fudging to get the UVIPlayer to see my PSP and X-Treme FX files, I ran both UVI and PSP players side by side. I'm hoping these are new and not just cherry picked from the Plugsound Pro library? ![]() I'm going to go grab that 400MB bank of free sounds before they change their mind. I only paid $99 for Plugsound Pro via Sweetwater when it went on sale a while back, so of course, I'm pleased as punch. as well as the fact that when you buy into something when it's relatively new, you're bearing the cost of the R&D that the company needs to recoup. Basically what you were paying for when you bought Plugsound Pro was the library that came with it that is not included in the player. ![]() It does seem to be full featured though as you can even drag and drop audio loops, etc. I can't really say if there's any audio improvement or not however. I haven't done any head to head test as far as CPU, but I do think it's easier to look at and I just went though opening some of my Plugsound Pro sounds without any problems. Sign of the times? Slow economy? But this way people can buy a few sounds a time for less money.Īs for the player, I like it. ![]() Isn't NI doing something similar with KORE Player, in that you give away a player that comes with a few sounds, then you sell sounds for it in small pieces. It seems a lot of manufacturers are doing this. it's basically giving away a "player" VI.
